What do you get when you combine microcontrollers, coding, cardboard and glue guns? More than you could ever imagine. Over 50 local makers of all ages came together for our second annual Make a Thon on Sat. Mar 12. They were introduced to the programming basics and then issued a challenge: Create either interactive art or a tabletop game. Four hours later their projects were complete. Come to Maker Faire Lake County on April 9th to check them out and vote for your favorite.
This event was organized and hosted by the CLC Engineering department and Baxter Innovation Lab.
After last year’s logo competition, we decided to adopt the entry by Dain Elman as our new logo. It represents Lake County’s rich history, natural beauty and our continued push towards education and technology.
Join us April 9th on the College of Lake County Grayslake campus for the 2nd annual Maker Faire Lake County.
